    I had been thinking …
I had been thinking of giving Linux another shot, and the Wine compatibility database was looking very solid. Compiz fusion was a deciding factor in going for a dual boot with Vista. Your tutorial helped me out Nixie.

So now, here I am – running the Cube desktop, other enhancements ready – posting to a video I just watched in Linux. I think I might be finally able to toss Vista right out the window…

By default, the Ubuntu desktop has two workspaces. To have the cube, you need two more. To do this:
    1. Right-click the Workspace indicator. It should be next to the Trash icon on the bottom right.
    2. Choose ‘Settings’ from the popup menu.
    3. Increase the number of workspaces to 4.
    4. Click Close.
    5. Enjoy your desktop cube.

Compiz if a lot of …
Compiz if a lot of fun! And I’m excited that it has gotten easier to configure. It took me a while to figure it out, back when Ubuntu 7.04 was still new. With current versions you only have to install one package (assuming of course that you already have accelerated graphics working. That’s getting easier too, though).
